Ingredients for the meat:
- 400 g. of beef (flank steak, filet mignon or cut of your choice)
- 1 tbs. vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the sauce:
- 1-2 tbsp. tablespoons lemongrass and tamarind chili paste
- Juice of a lime or lemon
- 1 tbs. fish sauce (optional)
- Finely chopped herbs (coriander, mint, Thai basil)
Steps and instructions:
- Heat the barbecue over medium-high heat.
- Season the beef with vegetable oil, salt, and pepper, then let it marinate for 5-10minutes.
- In a bowl, combine all the ingredients for the sauce.
- Cook the beef until desired doneness, then remove from heat and let it rest for 5-8 minutes.
- Slice the beef into strips and serve with the herb sauce. Serve with rice or a summer salad.
